Why the NGBC is teaming up with a Scholarship America! At the heart of Scholarship America lies the Dollars for Scholars Division. They have more than 1,200 locally based, volunteer-driven chapters serving students in nearly 4,000 communities across the country. Last year; more than 42,000 students were on the receiving end of 72 million in scholarship awards from scholarship America programs to Collegiate Partner institutions. The NGBC is a community based business networking organization that helps its members and small business owners build contacts and help build relationships which is the back bone of all local communities. The North Georgia Business Connection and Dollars for Scholars The vision for this program is the build brand recognition and credibility for the NGBC and all of its members by creating exposure through fundraising and involvement within our schools and community. We need to get involved and work with the kids in our own local schools to achieve academic goals by continuing their education to college by providing scholarship money. We can send a message to our local student’s that shows their business community supports and believes in them and is willing to invest in them. Advantage: Lead from the pack This will facilitate the NGBC to stand out from the vast list of organizations by providing a platform that will create dominance and integrity when business people/owners are looking to connect with a local networking organization. The quality of the organization will emulate into quality of the members/businesses. This program will help provide a greater sense of purpose to your networking and give you the ability to share this amazing opportunity with your customers. Advantage: Creating more contacts and building better relationships The creation of this local chapter will allow anyone from the community to volunteer (business leaders-students-school faculty-parents) to get involved and work along side some of the best networkers.
